Pepper Trail Chulliyode

Pepper Trail Wayanad is situated in Mangalam Carp Estate, a spice and coffee plantation deep in the Western Ghats in Kerala.

Mangalam Carp Estate was founded in the 1800s by Colin Auley Mackenzie, one of the pioneer planters of the period. He planted coffee, tea & spices in over 200 acres of the estate. In 1932, the estate was bought by P. Balram Kurup, a pioneer in the cultivation of rare spice and aromatic plants. With his efforts, the plantation is now home to the most exotic and extensive range of flora in Wayanad. Managed by the family’s third generation, every effort is taken to preserve the traditional farming methods established by its founders.

Set in the heart of a colonial plantation, surrounded by the tropical rainforests of Wayanad, Pepper Trail relives the essence of a bygone era. A serene intimate setting nestled within acres of plantations, lakes and forests, Pepper Trail reflects the rhythms of an ancient land. Here, time has a different pace. And feel.

Indulge in our personalized service, enjoy fine dining, explore the plantation, discover the local lore or relax with a soothing Ayurveda massage. Pepper Trail offers an experience at once private and unmatched in luxury.
